Take a trip through Felix’s garden to discover if there really is a mulchy monster lurking in the compost heap…

About Charlie Miller

Charlie Miller is a writer, director and illustrator with over a decade of experience in animation. He co-founded Scribble Room Animation, a Bristol-based 2D studio, and has worked on everything from preschool series to short films and feature films. In 2025 his debut picture book, Felix Found An Egg — which he wrote and illustrated — was published by Flying Eye Books, with more titles on the way. Charlie lives in Bristol with his wife, their young son, and their dog, Scout.

About Felix Found an Egg

Felix loves to play in the garden, but he’s always avoided the stinky compost bin – he is sure there’s a monster lurking in there! Determined to take back his garden, Felix musters up some courage and approaches the smelly heap. But instead of a monster, Felix finds… an egg! What could be waiting to hatch? Felix and his grumpy cat Gary discover that sometimes things that seem scary aren’t what they appear to be…
