Meet Little Snowy Hare – Storytime, Puppets & Christmas Magic!

Friday 4th December 2026, 9:45 am

Storysmith, 236 North Street, Bristol, BS3 1JD

Come along for a very special FREE festive storytime with Tessa Bide, Artistic Director of Tiny and Tall Productions and author of brand new picture book Little Snowy Hare.

Join Tessa for a reading of her beautifully illustrated picture book, which tells the story of a little hare who loses her way home and sets off on a wintery adventure, meeting wonderful Arctic animals along the way. A heartwarming tale of curiosity, courage and finding your own path, it’s perfect for little ones aged 2+.

And there’s an extra treat! Tessa will be bringing along some of the beautiful, handcrafted puppets from the stage production, giving children the chance to meet some of the characters up close and discover how they come to life in the theatre.

If you’d like to continue the adventure, Little Snowy Hare is also currently playing at Tobacco Factory Theatres (3 December 2026 – 3 January 2027), so you can head along and see the story brought to life on stage! More information is available here.

A lovely opportunity to meet the author, discover the book, get up close with some magical puppets and enjoy a little Christmas storytelling.

This event is free to attend and suitable for ages 2+. Booking is only required for children! It’s not necessary to reserve a ticket for accompanying adults.

About Little Snowy Hare

Meet Little Snowy Hare, and join her on a magical wintery adventure!

Little Snowy Hare is lost in the snow, far away from her cosy home. Following a trail of footprints through the snowy Arctic wilderness, she meets a curious fox, an unhelpful reindeer and a rather dopey polar bear along the way.

As night falls, the Northern Lights dance across the sky. But when Snowy wakes the next morning, a fresh blanket of snow has covered the ground, and all the footprints have disappeared! How will she find her way home now?

Join Snowy on an enchanting adventure filled with Arctic animals, wintery wonders and discoveries around every corner. Can she find the courage to trust herself and carve out her own path?
