The Shop

We stock a tightly curated range of fiction, non-fiction and children’s books. Our non-fiction sections include cookery, art, nature, science & thought, society, interesting lives and history. We’re also very happy to provide (and receive) recommendations.

We’re proud to serve delicious Triple Co Roast coffee, and encourage you to linger while browsing.

So populated and vertiginous to look at them all that you can’t really seem them all properly, so best thing to do is come in and talk to a bookseller. We’re here 11-4 today! 🥊SUBSCRIPTION REVEAL🥊 🧡PERCIVAL EVERETT IN BRISTOL🧡 📚BOOKSELLER’S DOUBLE📚 Delighted to see Joe Talbot in the shop yesterday to sign a boatload of your pre-orders! The very beautiful illustrated book of IDLES lyrics in collaboration with Magda Archer will be on the shelf next week, and we were able to hold back a VERY limited number of signed copies (pre-orders will be ready to collect/hitting the post shortly btw). Jason Okundaye’s book Revolutionary Acts is full of warm and reaching conversations with remarkable people, and so it was a huge pleasure to discover that it wasn’t just something reserved for documenting on the page. Last night we were lucky enough to host Jason in deep and snappy conversation with Shon Faye about this gorgeously crafted book about forgotten lives - we heard about the ethics of reporting gossip as fact/truth, the incredible damage done by depleting archival content documenting black gay lives, and the stories that didn’t make the book.
